What is Wegovy Pill?
The Wegovy Pill is a prescription-only, once-daily tablet for weight management in adults. It contains semaglutide, the same active ingredient as Wegovy injections, and is used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and more activity.2
A clinician reviews your assessment before anything is prescribed, and is there if you have questions along the way.
How does Wegovy Pill work?
- It mimics a gut hormone. Semaglutide works like GLP-1, a hormone your gut releases after eating that tells your brain you've had enough.2
- Hunger turns down. For many people that means less hunger between meals and feeling full sooner, so eating less takes less effort.
- Why the morning routine matters. The tablet is absorbed in your stomach, and food or drink gets in the way. That's why it's taken on an empty stomach with only a small sip of water.2
- Your changes do the rest. It supports changes to how you eat and move rather than replacing them. When semaglutide stopped in trials, much of the weight tended to return.3

How much weight can I lose with Wegovy Pill?
average weight loss at the 25mg dose over 64 weeks, vs 2.2% on placebo1
No needles. A daily tablet instead of a weekly injection.

What is the dosing schedule for Wegovy Pill?
Each price is 30 tablets, a month’s supply. You only move up when your clinician agrees.
Prices include your treatment and the care around it. Plenty of people stay on a lower dose.

How do I use Wegovy Pill?
- First thing. Take it when you wake up, on an empty stomach.2
- A small sip of water. Swallow the tablet whole with up to half a glass of water, and nothing else.2
- Wait 30 minutes. Before eating, drinking or taking other tablets, so it can be absorbed.2
- Keep it in the pack. Store tablets in their original packaging to protect them from moisture.
Missed a dose? Skip it and take your next tablet the following morning as usual. Don't take two at once.
How does Wegovy Pill compare with other options?
Figures are average weight loss at the highest dose in each medicine's main trial, alongside diet and activity. They come from different trials in different people, so they aren't a direct ranking. The one direct comparison: when tirzepatide (Mounjaro) and injected semaglutide (Wegovy) were tested head to head over 72 weeks, average weight loss was 20.2% and 13.7%.7
